About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop capacity solutions to effectively support customers
  • Manage load boards to match freight with carrier capacity
  • Manage a portfolio of carriers and develop strategic relationships with carrier partners in all geographies
  • Prepare quotes and negotiate logistics rates
  • Enter, process, and follow up on orders and requests via phone, email, and EDI
  • Conduct calls with carriers to determine availability and negotiate transportation rates
  • Provide consistent service to contracted carriers and internal customers
  • Maintain and grow carrier-account relationships through account reviews and identifying collaboration opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College or University degree
  • 3-4 years of previous experience in Brokerage/carrier sales is an asset
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of North American geography
  • Strong command of MS Office
  • Ability to learn new software easily
