About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and track active shipments throughout afternoon hours, maintaining real-time visibility and service performance
  • Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and operational issues
  • Update customer portals, systems, and shipment records accurately and timely
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments and ensure customer requirements are met
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve service disruptions, delays, load recoveries, and other operational exceptions
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing timely solutions and follow-up
  • Prepare and distribute overnight reports, communicating critical updates and exceptions to overnight and daytime operations teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of sales and account management experience in transportation and logistics field is preferred
  • Ability to understand business processing requirements using technology and conceptualize creative solutions to implement them
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of land transportation
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability
  • Ability to function independently with little or no supervision and in a team environment
