About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive project management of packaging-related projects, including NPD, EPD and value engineering packaging, delivering within specification, time and budget
Source and develop tooling for new primary and secondary packs from concept through delivery
Manage primary and secondary packaging development in line with CPAs and identify and flag risks
Manage the artwork process from copy brief through finished artwork in line with CPAs
Support CPA management to align finished goods and packaging project CPAs with the NPD team
Work with Engineering and Quality on pack testing and standards
Work with Supply Chain on purchase-order timings for packaging developments
Build and maintain relationships with external pack suppliers and contract manufacturers
Monitor packaging innovation and sustainability with packaging suppliers
Execute projects focused on resource optimisation and the brand’s sustainability strategy
Collaborate with the Lead Packaging Development Manager and cross-functionally with NPD, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and Regulatory

Requirements

What you’ll need

Packaging development background
Passionate about packaging and beauty
Highly organised and able to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously
Self-driven and result-orientated
Excellent communication skills
Technically strong in packaging development
Passionate about the artwork process with excellent attention to detail
Excellent understanding of complex NPD project management and CPA management
Ability to work cross-functionally with NPD, Design, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Marketing
Ability to provide commercial and operational value while balancing creative thinking, innovation, costs and timings
Team player with a can-do attitude
