About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop integrated EU product marketing plans with the Head of Marketing EU, aligned with retail, gross sales, market share and commercial priorities
  • Lead Category Managers in developing category visions, growth plans and portfolio architecture across Colour, Complexion, Skincare and Fragrance
  • Balance global and regional hero products with new product development
  • Consolidate category recommendations and align strategic priorities with the Head of Marketing EU, global partners and senior leadership
  • Lead cross-category new product development and promotional prioritisation with commercial and global teams
  • Evaluate category business cases for new products and sets addressing European opportunities
  • Coordinate cross-category launch and promotional planning, resolving competing priorities
  • Oversee portfolio and lifecycle performance across new product development and core products
  • Challenge demand and supply assumptions with Category Managers and Supply Chain to optimise availability and productivity
  • Develop differentiated channel portfolio priorities across Specialty, Department Stores and Online/Pure Players
  • Consolidate pricing, positioning and lifecycle recommendations, including pricing ladders, competitiveness, value perception and margin implications
  • Use market, competitor and portfolio analysis to identify and size growth opportunities
  • Review cross-category performance, agree corrective actions and escalate material risks or trade-offs to the Head of Marketing EU
  • Partner with Go-To-Market, VM, Sales, REOPS and Communications to align product priorities, launch readiness and execution across European markets
  • Lead, coach and develop two Category Managers; align priorities for the shared Category Analyst
  • Report directly to the Head of Marketing, EU and collaborate with EU Marketing and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Demonstrable marketing experience, preferably in beauty, with proven category or portfolio ownership
  • Strong strategic and commercial thinking
  • Ability to translate global strategy into regional plans and manage cross-market complexity
  • Strong cross-category prioritisation and analytical capability
  • Commercial acumen
  • People leadership, including empowering, coaching and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and influencing cross-functional and senior stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and agile thinking
  • Results-driven approach
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate insight into action
  • Knowledge of European markets is favourable
