About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as General Manager for a portfolio of 5–10 high-priority partners
  • Establish and maintain communication cadences with partners
  • Provide proactive internal reporting on partner status
  • Build trusted relationships and understand partner business goals across stakeholders
  • Consult on partners’ payroll businesses by investigating blockers, recommending strategies, and creating strategic execution plans
  • Act as a trusted advisor to ensure partners leverage the full value of Check
  • Execute all phases of the post-sales partner lifecycle, including launch, milestone setting, and renewal negotiations
  • Define mutual success metrics and KPIs aligned with partner and Check revenue/growth goals
  • Inform cross-functional teams about partner needs and pain points
  • Build communication plans for releases, roadmap updates, compliance updates, and incident management
  • Introduce and implement new products and features, evaluate success, and navigate feedback with partners and Product
  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Marketing, Enablement, Product, and other internal and external teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in the SaaS space; fintech or payroll experience is a plus
  • Strategic growth or consulting experience
  • Post-sales partner/account management or existing account growth experience
  • Demonstrated success owning a portfolio of customer or partner relationships with complex technical/product needs
  • Familiarity with AI tools and curiosity about improving partner workflows
  • Ability to navigate enterprise partner organizations and develop meaningful relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating complex ideas concisely in partner calls, escalation conversations, and executive settings
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt and learn quickly while balancing multiple priorities and projects
  • Fluency or familiarity with Zendesk, Google Workspace, Notion, and similar software applications
  • Strong documentation skills and experience maintaining clean CRM notes
  • Ability to travel to team on-sites 1–2 times a year and occasional partner visits, averaging once per quarter as needed
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; Check participates in E-Verify
