About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the long-term roadmap for a portfolio of enterprise merchants
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and create strategic value for enterprise clients
  • Integrate Checkout.com into merchants’ core businesses
  • Advise merchant C-suite stakeholders on payments and commercial strategy
  • Lead impactful quarterly business reviews
  • Translate payment performance into mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Lead complex contract negotiations, renewals and strategic deals
  • Craft innovative commercial models with Deal Management, Legal, Strategic Pricing and other teams
  • Own the commercial outcome
  • Use data-based decision-making and metric-driven insights
  • Represent the merchant internally and influence the Product and Engineering roadmap
  • Align departments around common client goals
  • Mentor junior account managers and foster knowledge sharing across the Commercial team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years’ experience in a B2B Account Management, Relationship Management or commercially focused role in the FinTech and/or Payments industry
  • Strategic problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Good knowledge of major e-commerce and payments technologies, players and future trends
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and balance multiple opportunities
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments and influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Fluent in English due to UK focus
