About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, communicate, and lead pricing and revenue management strategies across sectors and segments to maximize profitability.
  • Provide analytical breakdowns of pricing structures to inform decisions and enhance pricing effectiveness.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and measurement of pricing actions.
  • Perform value chain analysis supporting cost reductions, service differentiation, and improved customer service metrics.
  • Develop pricing tools and methodologies, including pricing waterfall analytics and value-based pricing models.
  • Oversee contract renewals, win/loss metrics, and pricing performance.
  • Analyze historical pricing trends and refine deal-scoring KPIs.
  • Mentor and manage a team of pricing professionals.
  • Lead customer- and segment-level pricing strategies, including price increase programs, guardrail frameworks, and deal pricing governance.
  • Own the B2B price increase workstream for assigned customer segments, including churn-risk scoring and pricing recommendations for approximately 2,400+ customers.
  • Develop pricing guardrails, floor and ceiling structures, approval workflows, and sacrifice value or break-even frameworks.
  • Translate pricing strategy into field-facing tools and playbooks for Sales.
  • Own pricing models, segmentation tools, elasticity frameworks, and margin waterfall analytics.
  • Serve as thought partner and validation lead for Pricefx enhancements and own Pricefx Voice of Customer exercises.
  • Develop churn, price sensitivity, win-back scoring, competitive vulnerability, and cost-to-serve models.
  • Monitor transportation and labor surcharge mechanisms and recommend calibration adjustments.
  • Design and maintain microcluster segmentation frameworks.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to embed pricing discipline.
  • Own pricing performance metrics, trend reporting, and variance attribution for the Commercial Health Dashboard.
  • Lead deal review governance and contribute to annual pricing strategy planning.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence infrastructure and develop competitive response playbooks.
  • Build pricing literacy through training, structured tools, and AI-assisted coaching.
  • Present pricing strategies, model outputs, and recommendations to Director- and VP-level stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 6-9 years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial finance, or revenue management, including at least 3 years in a B2B environment.
  • Proven ability to independently build pricing models, churn/elasticity frameworks, and margin analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders with data-backed recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including translating complex analytics into executive-ready narratives.
  • Ability to present to executives, challenge assumptions, mentor junior analysts, and influence across functions.
  • MBA or Certified Pricing Professional designation preferred.
  • Experience in industrial services, logistics, supply chain, or asset-heavy B2B businesses preferred.
  • Super-user experience with Pricefx, PROS, Vendavo, Zilliant, or other pricing optimization software preferred.
  • Experience with customer segmentation methodologies, competitive intelligence frameworks, and game theory applications preferred.
  • Experience with Python, R, or SQL strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI, Copilot Studio, or AI-assisted commercial analytics tools preferred.
  • Travel up to 20% domestic.
