About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Behavioral Threat Analysis Center (BTAC)
  • Review, identify, and develop intervention and prevention strategies for network and enterprise security across insider-threat scenarios
  • Perform analysis and apply security best practices and methodologies to information systems
  • Interface with DoW Insider Threat Management and Analysis Center (DITMAC) management and staff
  • Support forensic analysis of digital information
  • Recommend threat-appropriate countermeasures for information systems
  • Lead planning and design of security solutions and capabilities enabling threat identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery
  • Apply advanced technical and industry knowledge to complex cybersecurity projects
  • Design action plans for policy creation and governance, system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and emerging cybersecurity threats
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Report to the Program Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency with documentation
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience advising security professionals on emerging cyber threats
  • Working knowledge of classified and unclassified systems and Government/Industry standards/requirements
  • Experience with risk, vulnerability, and threat assessments
  • Experience with cloud security
  • Experience with security operations
  • Experience with threat intelligence
  • Experience with threat hunting
  • Experience assisting counterintelligence, insider threat, or law enforcement investigations
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experience advising non-IT professionals on DoW network standards
  • Understanding of DoW/IC computer systems, protections, and threats
  • Knowledge of offensive and defensive cyber capabilities
  • Knowledge of User Activity Monitoring (UAM) software and processes
  • Firewall/Intrusion Prevention System/Intrusion Detection System configuration
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience working within the DoW/IC
  • Expertise in penetration testing or forensics
  • Knowledge of state, local, and federal cyber trends, developments, standards, frameworks, and regulations
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer; occasional standing or moving about the office
