About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and mentor a manager responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Scheduling Analyst team
  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop a group of scheduling analysts
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through one-on-ones and team meetings
  • Create personalized metrics for assigned scheduling analysts
  • Act as escalation point and adviser for scheduling, timesheets, and Scheduling Analyst responsibilities
  • Attend vendor meetings for healthcare organizations and communicate meeting content to scheduling analysts
  • Liaise between internal teams and outsourcing partners to align operational goals and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Manage and maintain scheduling tools
  • Check the Locumsmart system for cleanliness and accuracy
  • Analyze scheduling performance, identify trends, and recommend process improvements
  • Serve as final escalation point for scheduling-related issues, processes, and responsibilities
  • Liaise with HCO and Vendor Account Managers, Education, Implementation, Client Success, and other cross-functional teams
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Locumsmart technology and scheduling tools
  • Own and advocate for the Scheduling Analysis development backlog
  • Create and improve workflow processes to drive operational efficiency and support business growth
  • Partner with Business Intelligence on reporting requests and performance indicators
  • Build projections for department budget, hiring strategy, and team KPIs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in scheduling, operations management, or a related field, preferably within a VMS or similar environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a people leader, manage a team, and foster a high performance culture
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with outsourcing or third-party partners effectively
  • Proficiency in scheduling and workforce management tools and systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in multiple technologies simultaneously
  • College level education or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare staffing, VMS, or with a locum tenens vendor
  • Experience with Locumsmart Platform, Trello, Jira, Qgenda, ShiftAdmin, or AMION
  • Previous experience with other VMS platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
