About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and modernize full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Vue.js and TypeScript
Help lead the gradual migration from Vue to React
Use AI coding tools and clear specifications to accelerate development while maintaining quality
Design scalable microservices, RESTful APIs and Kafka-based event-driven integrations
Integrate systems with Salesforce
Ship containerized applications to AWS and Kubernetes through GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
Develop and maintain automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests
Collaborate with the Staff Engineer, engineering team, product managers, designers, support teams and business stakeholders
Participate in design, planning and code reviews
Keep legacy services reliable while modernizing them
Mentor engineers through code reviews, shared best practices, architecture discussions and team presentations
Report to the Senior Manager of Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of hands-on, professional full-stack software engineering experience
Mastery of Java and Spring Boot, plus JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js
Front-end experience with Vue.js and/or React
Experience designing and consuming RESTful microservices and event-driven systems
Solid SQL skills and relational database experience, ideally PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, AWS, containers and Kubernetes
Experience writing well-tested code using JUnit, Jest, and end-to-end tests
Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code to design, build, test and document software
Good judgment in reviewing AI-generated code
Familiarity with extending AI coding assistants through skills and MCP connections
Clear communication and genuine interest in teaching others
Team-first mindset, willingness to ask for help early, accept feedback, and follow through on commitments
Maturity to disagree respectfully and support the team's decision
Kindness toward others and enjoyment in seeing teammates grow and succeed
