About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports operations and conducts advanced data analytics projects for strategic decision-making and solution development.
- Implements and enhances data standards and deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate complex data.
- Constructs and manages large-scale data sets and ensures data quality and integrity.
- Troubleshoots and resolves database issues.
- Leads and coordinates data development and analytics for Tribal healthcare initiatives.
- Summarizes healthcare data needs of American Indians and pilots healthcare data development.
- Inventories data resources, evaluates data needs, and initiates pilot data projects.
- Provides technical input for data infrastructure, analytic capacity, and data sovereignty.
- Conducts environmental scans and develops inventories of healthcare data resources.
- Assesses data quality, completeness, and opportunities for linkage across systems.
- Prepares management reports, including monthly progress and cost-to-complete reports.
- Supports quality measures and analytics for Tribal Nations.
- Ensures compliance with federal requirements, including FISMA, Section 508, and records management.
- Develops methods for efficient project task coordination.
- Drives strategic development and execution of large-scale analytics initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Develops and deploys predictive and prescriptive models.
- Leads cross-functional analytics projects.
- Establishes and enforces data quality frameworks.
- Incorporates unstructured and other complex data sources into analysis.
- Advocates for data-driven decision-making.
- Produces sophisticated reports, data files, and interactive dashboards using Python, R, SQL, statistical methods, machine learning, and data modeling.
- Mentors junior team members and may act as a team lead.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
- Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.
- Masters degree and a minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Advanced scripting and querying tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling techniques.
- Ability to comply with federal requirements, including FISMA, Section 508, and records management.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must meet the physical demands required to perform the essential functions of the job.
