About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide senior-level evaluation and implementation research expertise supporting DDT and THEEB
- Lead and support national and programmatic evaluation activities
- Develop evaluation plans and logic models
- Define evaluation questions and indicators
- Apply qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches to assess program implementation and outcomes
- Provide technical assistance to CDC staff and partners
- Assess fidelity, adaptations, reach, barriers, facilitators, and contextual factors
- Contribute to national evaluations, rapid evaluations, case studies, performance monitoring, continuous quality improvement, and dissemination of evaluation findings
- Conduct national assessments of program or project inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes
- Facilitate internal and external partner meetings
- Provide assistance or training on evaluation methods, concepts, and tools
- Use and manage CDC administrative systems and Microsoft Office applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property
- Master's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in public health evaluation, health science, implementation research, program evaluation, or a related field
- Experience conducting national assessments of program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes
- Experience developing evaluation plans, evaluation questions, indicators, logic models, and performance measurement approaches
- Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting quantitative and qualitative program data
- Experience designing and conducting implementation research, including assessment of fidelity, adaptations, reach, barriers, facilitators, and contextual factors
- Knowledge of implementation research frameworks and methods
- Experience facilitating partner meetings and providing evaluation training, technical assistance, and consultation
- Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles governing intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience using and managing CDC administrative systems, including Human Subjects, OMB, IRB, and E-Clearance
- Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines
- Ability to successfully complete any government-required background investigation or security clearance, if applicable to the task order
