Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage complex research projects from conception to completion
- Design and develop innovative research methodologies, experimental protocols, and test plans
- Conduct experiments, collect data, and analyze results using advanced tools and techniques
- Interpret research findings and draw conclusions supporting new technologies, products, or processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into practical applications
- Contribute to the design and construction of prototypes or experimental setups
- Perform tests and measurements to evaluate prototype or experimental-system performance
- Accurately document experimental procedures, results, and observations
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose research-based solutions
- Stay current with advancements through literature reviews, conferences, seminars, and networking
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior research engineers
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications communicating research findings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property
- Master's degree and four to seven (4-7) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Ability to lead and manage complex research projects
- Knowledge of research methodologies, experimental protocols, and test plans
- Ability to conduct experiments, collect data, and analyze results using advanced tools and techniques
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to design and construct prototypes or experimental setups
- Ability to perform tests and measurements
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions
