About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and implement therapeutic interventions for patients using formal programming
- Design interventions to help children and families cope with hospitalization-related stress and trauma
- Provide ongoing assessment of child and family interventions
- Support the social and emotional well-being of children and families
- Participate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team
- Provide services at the Neenah, Wisconsin Children’s Hospital and Green Bay clinic
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy
- Board Certification (MT-BC) required within three months of employment
- Completion of NICU-MT training
- Current CPR certification / Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross required
- Minimum of three to six months of experience with pediatric patients
- Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication
- Ability to assess, evaluate, and provide accurate and timely handoff of child and family information to healthcare team members
- Analytical ability to observe behaviors and direct appropriate music therapy programming and interventions
- Ability to position patients in the course of duties
