About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with patient care responsibilities as directed by clinicians, including preparing treatment supplies/materials and physically assisting patients with physical, communication, or behavioral needs
- Assist with rooming, in-clinic check out, and scheduling
- Monitor daily schedules, including appointments, no-shows, cancellations, bump list appointments, and wait-list appointments
- Inventory, order, and maintain adequate supplies and equipment; stock department rooms
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe treatment areas in compliance with Joint Commission standards
- Clean treatment areas, equipment, and treatment materials/toys after each session in collaboration with therapists
- Check expiration dates and refrigerator temperatures and remedy issues as needed
- Maintain the missing equipment report with the clinical engineering department
- Collect and deliver instruments and equipment to sterile processing or food services
- Greet patients and families while ensuring confidentiality and privacy
- Manage telephone calls and document information to support the Clinic Coordinator and clinic operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) preferred
- Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred or relevant education
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or National Safety Council required
