About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consult hotels in managing room inventory and pricing for assigned hotels to increase revenue
- Oversee and optimize guest room inventory and pricing strategies, driving RevPAR growth through demand analysis, dynamic selling strategies, length-of-stay optimization, and channel parity
- Partner with hotel teams to deliver daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reporting
- Analyze demand drivers such as groups, conventions, and citywide events
- Lead Revenue Strategy Meetings and translate performance data, market trends, and competitive intelligence into recommendations
- Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between hotels and Choice teams
- Leverage enterprise systems, Salesforce, and Lanyon to align strategies with brand goals and identify marketing and promotional opportunities
- Contribute to special projects and enterprise-wide revenue management initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to shape and elevate Choice’s revenue strategy
- Handle a larger and more complex portfolio of hotels and offerings
- Help develop and improve the ChoiceRM program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Revenue Manager, or Business or Consulting experience focused on financial analysis or revenue analytics
- Understanding of Revenue Management principles and philosophies, tools, and reports, as well as industry standard metrics and related reports
- Experience with multi-property revenue management a plus
- Experience with Extended Stay revenue management a plus
- Knowledge of Choice Internet sites, Property Management Systems, Choice distribution platforms and strategies, GDS systems a plus
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with a high degree of demonstrated proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical skills, including evaluating data, extracting actionable insights, and converting them to strategic revenue opportunities
- Ability to apply critical thinking to understand and solve complex problems and use data as the basis for recommendations
- Ability to articulate revenue strategies and deployment to achieve strategies
- Ability to present ideas, expectations, and information concisely and in an organized way
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence decision-makers at all levels through presentation of analysis and information
- Ability to make measurable progress on multiple high priorities while handling day-to-day operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or relevant field of work, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Revenue Management Certification (CHRM or CRME) required; candidates not already certified must become certified within the first year of employment
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future
