About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee Medical Group Operations for two service lines spanning Acute Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Medical Specialties, and Behavioral Health
- Lead operations for 400+ FTEs across multiple subspecialties and locations across Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania
- Develop and implement operational strategies supporting quality, access, and growth
- Align ambulatory services with broader system initiatives and service line development
- Develop and execute strategic business plans advancing Medical Group, Service Line, and System growth
- Lead and guide regional or site-level practice administrators
- Manage operational leadership accountability for staffing, workflow optimization, resource allocation, scheduling, and patient, provider, and caregiver experience
- Lead selection, integration, and evaluation of healthcare technology and information systems
- Lead Medical Group and System Annual Operating Plan goals
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets with practice administrators and finance partners
- Drive margin accountability, corrective action plans, billing improvements, revenue maximization, and cost efficiency
- Lead business planning for Medical Group growth and change strategy, including designated mergers and acquisitions
- Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance
- Develop leadership capabilities among practice administrators, site managers, and staff
- Partner on physician compensation and incentive programs
- Use data-driven tools to monitor KPIs and benchmark performance
- Collaborate with informatics and analytics teams on timely, actionable reports
- Lead initiatives improving operational, clinical quality, patient safety, and service excellence metrics
- Establish and maintain effective relationships across the Medical Group and health system
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree is required in fields such as nursing, medical technology, business, clinical healthcare, or healthcare management
- Minimum of 5 years of medical practice/departmental operations leadership experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ healthcare experience managing people leaders
- Experience managing multiple service lines across ambulatory sites
- Strong financial acumen
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Proven track record leading complex, large-scale initiatives
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and physician leadership
- Demonstrated success executing business plans, driving service line expansion, and supporting sustainable growth
- Experience involving large group medical practice management and demonstrated leadership success would be especially advantageous
