About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure and optimize the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module to align with organizational workflows and billing requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and training materials.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users, including billing staff and financial administrators.
  • Manage contracts, maintain the charge description master, and maintain the charge router.
  • Provide go-live support and troubleshooting assistance during the transition to the new system.
  • Offer ongoing support and maintenance for the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module post-implementation.
  • Create and execute test scripts to validate system functionality and configuration accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve issues during unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Assist in developing reports and dashboards to monitor billing metrics and identify improvement areas.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; ChristianaCare will not sponsor applicants for an employment visa now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience working with Epic systems or laboratory information systems.
  • High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of hospital billing processes and revenue cycle management.
  • Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Certification preferred for external candidates.
  • Must be within commutable distance due to frequent on-site work.
