About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Place CIEE international camp participants at U.S. summer camps
  • Take applicants and host camps through recruitment, onboarding, placement, pre-departure, and arrival
  • Onboard, track, monitor, and match camp counselor applicants to U.S. host camps according to hiring needs
  • Onboard and sell CIEE's Camp Counselor program to prospective camp hosts
  • Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate international in-person and virtual hiring events
  • Prospect and cold call to gather camp hiring needs and onboard new camps
  • Monitor participant review notes and placement rates to identify trends and increase placements
  • Foster ongoing relationships with U.S. summer camps, including directors, HR representatives, and business owners
  • Consult with hosts on hiring needs and successful BridgeUSA program implementation
  • Promote CIEE at regional and national trade shows as needed
  • Travel domestically during summer for camp site visits
  • Collaborate with Seasonal Exchanges teams to support BridgeUSA participants from application through program completion
  • Provide in-country camp host support
  • Maintain an accurate sales database and team inbox
  • Travel internationally as needed to support placement goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous camp staffing or camp director experience; recruitment or sales (B2B and human capital solutions) also applicable
  • Must be based within one hour's travel of a major international airport hub in the U.S.
  • Some domestic and international travel required; flexibility expected
  • Experience in international exchange programs encouraged
  • International travel and/or work experience encouraged
  • Computer skills including MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment within tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be flexible
  • Energetic, personable, goal- and team-oriented
  • Reference and background check conducted as a condition of employment
