Surgical Glaucoma Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the launch of Ciliatech’s Intercil Uveal Spacer with Ophthalmologists in the field
- Train glaucoma surgeons and Key Opinion Leaders to a very high standard in commercially inactive new accounts
- Maximise sales and uptake of Intercil
- Identify high-potential surgeons, accounts, and geographical regions within the sales territory
- Develop business plans to achieve and exceed predefined sales targets
- Monitor progress against sales execution plans and update business plans
- Negotiate with key hospital accounts to achieve favorable terms for Ciliatech products
- Identify, book, arrange, and attend key customer events, congresses, and customer meetings
- Monitor promotional spend against annual budgets
- Execute optimal customer follow-up schedules to maintain relationships, share best practices, and grow sales within accounts
- Participate in KOL development activities as directed by senior leadership
- Master Ciliatech products, including concepts, clinical data, surgical technique, indications, and conditions
- Become an expert on competitors and alternative treatment modalities
- Train surgeons and operating-room staff on safe and successful implantation procedures
- Attend national and international congresses as directed
- Follow MIGS industry trends and publications to maintain current competitor and disease-area knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years’ surgical sales experience in the operating room
- Experience in Ophthalmology
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
- Natural relationship builder with a customer-first mindset
- High personal drive, results-oriented, and goal-focused
- Confident, fair, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
- Positive, energetic team player with a hands-on mindset
- Well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible schedules
- Experience in the Glaucoma sub-specialty preferred
- Experience in MIGS preferred
- Based in South UK
- Reliable car suitable for frequent business travel
- Full clean driving license is mandatory
- Availability for extensive national travel, short-notice travel, and multiple nights away from home
- Ability to pass validations/exams and achieve official certification as a surgical trainer
