About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule and coordinate conferences, meetings, interviews, and appointments
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and anticipate scheduling problems
- Coordinate conference calls, teleconferences, and video conferences
- Perform advanced library searches using electronic resources
- Coordinate physical moves and work with outside vendors
- Plan and oversee special events, programs, conferences, and symposiums
- Set up, operate, and maintain office equipment
- Research information and respond to requests
- Serve as a resource on department policies and processes
- Troubleshoot problems and propose solutions
- Use software applications to create and edit workbooks, documents, and presentations

Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Proficiency with software applications for creating and editing workbooks, documents, and presentations
- Ability to produce database queries and review data for variances
- Ability to transcribe medical dictation
- Ability to compose and edit correspondence, reports, proposals, grant materials, scientific manuscripts, and journal reviews
- Ability to process payroll, budget, expense tracking, HR, and account reconciliation information
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external constituents, vendors, and agencies
