  • Demonstrate advanced competence in ultrasound-related knowledge, skills, and behaviors
  • Communicate with team members and contribute to their growth by sharing knowledge and experience
  • Prepare patients, parents, and families for procedures and examinations
  • Conduct ultrasound procedures and examinations according to protocols and guidelines
  • Obtain, review, coordinate, and facilitate the exchange of patient information
  • Identify, lead, and direct process and quality improvement activities
  • Measure and present improvement results and ongoing process performance measures
  • Develop strategic improvement plans and support training and audits
  • Communicate courteously with patients, families, and employees
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Advocate for patients and families and respond to their needs and concerns
  • Function as an imaging technologist in ultrasound imaging
  • Facilitate and coordinate patient care delivery and communication within the medical center
  • Collaborate with Radiology Department team members and other departments throughout the hospital and outpatient sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of Ultrasound Accredited Program OR equivalent
  • Registered ARDMS or ARRT(S), or eligible
  • Registered ARDMS or ARRT(S) within 6 months of hire
  • ARDMS Pediatric Sonography Certification preferred
