About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve in a high-profile leadership role within Circana and the client’s organization
- Create insight-driven solutions for a leading consumer packaged goods innovator
- Lead a high-performance team developing and deploying Circana tools and data capabilities
- Address client business issues including new product launches, line extensions, trade spending, pricing optimization, and retail execution
- Identify growth opportunities across the client’s base business
- Guide the client through processes supporting continued business success
- Advocate for the client and advance long-term partnership value
- Communicate and implement organizational strategies and business objectives
- Advance team performance and ensure operational compliance
- Oversee department budgets
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for account growth
- Drive expansion of client relationships using Circana data and software solutions
- Translate complex data into actionable insights
- Lead prospecting, needs assessment, solution development, negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with Client Insights, Product, Analytics, and other internal teams
- Maintain expertise in retail, CPG, or general merchandise trends
- Build relationships with client decision-makers and influencers
- Use Unify+, Liquid Data, Intelligence Suite, and other Circana platforms
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
- Champion client satisfaction and proactively address challenges
- Provide market feedback to support offering refinement and product development
- Conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based consumer analyses
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12–15+ years of progressive business experience
- Strong understanding of consumer packaged goods (CPG) and retail dynamics
- Experience in manufacturer/retailer, professional services, or consulting environments
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA or advanced degree in business, marketing, analytics, or related field preferred
- Ability to develop and execute client relationship strategies
- Ability to architect and present business proposals using cross-functional teams
- Proven C-level engagement experience across CPG core issues
- Proficiency with Circana’s data platforms: Unify+, Liquid Data, Intelligence Suite, and Strategic Analytics modules
- Ability to translate complex analytics into actionable client recommendations
- General management and P&L ownership experience
- Track record of revenue and profit growth
- Ability to identify innovative solutions for revenue growth and account expansion
- Executive presence and ability to engage at the C-suite level
- Ability to maintain manufacturer and retailer perspectives simultaneously
- Ability to lead high-performing teams in complex, matrixed environments
- Ability to assess complex client issues and identify root causality
- Ability to convey technical content and data analytics to varied audiences
- Successful completion of a background check may be required
- Must be able to work on-site in Oakland, CA approximately 2–3 days per week
