About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Head of Total Rewards to shape and execute global benefits strategy
  • Oversee global benefits design across health and welfare, retirement/pension, wellbeing, and voluntary benefits
  • Lead benefits transformation, harmonization, centralization, and future M&A integration planning
  • Build and lead benefits governance, standards, decision rights, operating framework, and transition plans
  • Own global broker, carrier, and third-party administrator relationships, contracts, renewals, and RFP outcomes
  • Own the global benefits budget, monitor spending, forecast costs, and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, and country-specific statutory requirements
  • Maintain audit readiness, required filings, and benefits documentation
  • Oversee benefits administration, enrollment, life events, leave coordination, and escalations
  • Partner with HR Technology on systems, data integrity, integrations, reporting, and analytics
  • Leverage AI and automation to redesign repetitive benefits processes
  • Provide executive sponsorship for employee communications, education, and enrollment campaigns
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex benefits matters
  • Build and develop a global team with virtual and flexible team members
  • Partner cross-functionally with Compensation, Talent Management, Payroll, Legal, Finance, Procurement, HR Business Partners, and business leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of progressive benefits experience
  • Expertise in global benefits design, governance, vendor management, and regulatory compliance
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. requirements, including ERISA and ACA
  • Experience navigating multi-country frameworks such as the EU Pay Transparency Directive
  • Experience leading benefits strategy, administration, or governance across multiple countries and regions
  • Fluency applying AI and automation to operational and administrative processes
  • Experience building, centralizing, harmonizing, or transforming benefits operations
  • Vendor and broker management skills, including RFPs, contract negotiation, and performance governance
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing a global benefits budget
  • Experience partnering with HR Technology teams on benefits systems, data integrity, and reporting
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills
  • People leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams, including flexible, virtual, or hybrid team structures
  • Experience building new capabilities, operating models, governance structures, or shared-service approaches within benefits or Total Rewards
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to support a global workforce across multiple time zones, including North America and Europe
