About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain equipment through troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and preventive maintenance
- Facilitate repairs as required
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Test new equipment as directed
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Use email and Circle K computer-related forms
- Participate in training for existing and new equipment
- Accomplish related results and Financial and Key Result Area targets according to Company plan guidelines
- Increase professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies
- Work across multiple locations between Mt. Vernon and Carbondale, Illinois
- Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
- 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance construction field preferred
- Experience in telecommunications preferred but not required
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and work in confined spaces
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Ability to crouch and/or crawl and use a ladder
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities
- Ability to work independently in a high-priority, confidential, demanding business environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable as a driver
- Computer literacy in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
