About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Recruit, hire, and train positive, enthusiastic employees
Develop, manage, and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked, organized, and well maintained
Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisor
Schedule employees to maximize customer service and maintain site image
Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees
Develop positive relationships with suppliers
Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints
Promote and ensure a safe, positive public image in the neighboring community
Prepare timely written performance appraisals and provide feedback
Train employees on customer service, site image, marketing execution, and safety procedures
Ensure timely communication with employees and the Market Manager
Evaluate site needs and develop action plans to reach objectives
Organize and maintain site files and manuals
Ensure reports are completed accurately and on time
Ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and correctly priced
Ensure required employment posters and signs are accessible
Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits
Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage merchandise margins
Safeguard and account for money received and disbursed
Perform financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profits
Clean parking lots and gas pumps and take out garbage as needed
Work effectively as a manager, supervisor, and leader

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience in retail sales preferred
Experience to perform the essential duties, responsibilities and working in the described conditions
Ability to supervise and train for the use of specified equipment, tools and materials
Ability to supervise and manage CSR and ASM functions
Ability to use a computer or acquire necessary computer skills, including analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, and counseling notices
Valid driver’s license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
Flexible availability
Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including occasional cold temperatures and noise
