About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, repair, clean and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain facilities through light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, cleaning and lighting work
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs
  • Examine records, reports, operating practices and documentation to ensure cost-effective preventative repairs
  • Participate in training classes for existing and new equipment
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce maintenance programs, operating policies and procedures
  • Accomplish related results and Financial and Key Result Area targets under Company plan guidelines
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks and professional societies
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and comply with federal, state and local requirements
  • Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
  • 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance field or more preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in plumbing or HVAC/refrigeration preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and be insurable as a driver
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and work independently
  • Highly organized and able to work under pressure/deadlines and multitask
  • Computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Sit for long periods of time
  • Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry
  • View computer monitor
  • Hear and speak via telephone
  • Reach forward and/or overhead
  • Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop and/or reach
  • Ability to carry, erect and climb ladders
