About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Proactively and holistically lead and support architecture activities under the Enterprise Architecture scope.
Translate customer journeys and business requirements into technical requirements, business capability maps, value-stream maps, architectural blueprints, and technology enablers.
Document solution architecture design and analysis work.
Work with product owners and product managers to maintain an architectural runway supporting future business requirements.
Determine enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive targeted business outcomes.
Monitor the solution portfolio and identify technology deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt.
Support end-of-life product decisions to maintain, refresh, or retire services and systems.
Analyze emerging technology trends, competitors, and market trends and determine implications for solutions.
Facilitate evaluation and selection of software product standards and services.
Consult with application and infrastructure development projects to align systems and infrastructure with solution architecture.
Lead evaluation, design, maintenance, and evolution of solution architecture across business applications and technologies.
Manage and develop architecture for broader projects or products and guide application architects and technical resources.
Develop roadmaps for evolving the enterprise solution portfolio.
Create architectural designs across products, services, projects, and systems.
Collaborate with business and technology leaders, project managers, and product managers throughout project and product lifecycles.
Provide consulting support to application architects within agile teams.
Provide standard definitions, reference models, and architecture designs for governance and investment assessment.
Support a community of practice and guide agile teams and product owners on enterprise architecture governance.
Design and direct governance activities for solution architecture assurance and compliance.
Define principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including solution, application, technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments
Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
Experience implementing an enterprise loyalty platform.
Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with developers in an outsourced environment.
Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
Experience working in a relevant industry is helpful, but not required.
