About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the chief customer outcomes and services strategist, leading overall services strategy and supporting teams
- Drive incremental services growth through close coordination with Account Teams
- Develop opportunities and drive them to closure to grow recurring revenue
- Ensure customers have appropriate support coverage and professional services aligned with expected outcomes
- Engage specialist teams to enhance the sales process
- Partner with Customer Success to enhance services adoption
- Identify and handle opportunities across accounts to expand services coverage and impact
- Build and sustain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Create demand for new services aligned with customer outcomes and business needs
- Upsell and cross-sell additional solutions during new and renewal pursuits
- Conduct data analysis to uncover opportunities, buying propensity, service availability, and unattached products
- Use data to demonstrate customer need, identify pain points, derive forecasts, and set sales commitments
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes
- Develop strategies for complex, multidimensional deals and lead complex negotiations
- Champion service sales for a strategic region or set of accounts
- Tailor engagement strategies to decision criteria and economic buyer expectations
- Guide teams in engaging C-suite economic buyers, activating champions, and managing the paper process
- Tie Cisco's portfolio to enterprise-wide decision criteria
- Influence discovery strategies and unlock customer value through services
- Co-develop initiatives aligned with customer expectations, services standards, and communication protocols
- Advance insight-driven strategies to strengthen engagement and accelerate service uptake
- Develop communication and accountability strategies across teams

- Create E2E selling methodology strategies to elevate team knowledge and customer value

Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to travel to customer sites weekly for in-person meetings
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years in a customer-facing sales role
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor and cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Previous technical sales experience preferred
- Cisco product knowledge or certifications preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with peers, partners, and customers using a Win/Win philosophy preferred
- Startup perspective with a growth mentality and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments preferred
- Outstanding relationships with C-level executives within customer accounts
- Ability to strongly influence account managers, specialists, and channels
- Consistent display of technical knowledge
