About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead direct enterprise software and cloud sales engagements across assigned Federal Government accounts from prospecting through contract award and renewal
  • Manage customer relationships across defense and civilian programs
  • Partner with Systems Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, channel alliances, and product leadership
  • Align software capabilities with federal network architectures, zero trust mandates, data analytics, and cloud infrastructure requirements
  • Execute territory growth plans balancing transactional sales opportunities with multi-year enterprise license agreements
  • Co-sell with Federal System Integrators, Value-Added Resellers, and prime contractors
  • Embed Cisco and Splunk technologies into federal contract vehicles and program capture pursuits
  • Deliver product demonstrations, business justifications, and executive-level briefings to agency program managers, CIOs, and procurement officials
  • Maintain quarterly pipeline forecasts, territory plans, and opportunity qualification metrics in CRM tools
  • Drive digital modernization, security resilience, mission innovation, and sustainable business growth for Federal Government customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4 years of direct quota-carrying software, SaaS, or cloud technology sales experience selling directly to U.S. Federal Government or Public Sector agencies
  • Minimum 2 years of direct experience partnering, co-selling, or embedding software solutions with Federal System Integrators and defense prime contractors on federal program captures
  • Documented track record of prospecting, qualifying, and closing new software opportunities while expanding existing agency accounts
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% for onsite customer meetings, technical demonstrations, and industry conferences
  • Current legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, OR equivalent practical experience defined as a minimum of 4 years of additional relevant professional software sales experience in lieu of a degree
  • Preferred: 5 or more years of direct quota-carrying enterprise software sales experience across U.S. Federal Civilian or DoD agencies
  • Preferred: Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance with a current background investigation
  • Preferred: Current residence in the Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland metropolitan area
  • Preferred: Domain experience in cybersecurity, SIEM, enterprise observability, log analytics, zero trust, or AI/ML software markets
  • Preferred: Proficiency with MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or Challenger Sale
  • Preferred: Familiarity with NASA SEWP, GSA MAS, NIH CIO-SP3/4, and enterprise IDIQs/GWACs
