Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with customers to create value and deliver outcomes, adoption, and renewals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a unified customer experience across the lifecycle
  • Provide Day-2 support on Cisco products and solutions using technical expertise, AI, automation, strategic guidance, and innovative solutions
  • Develop specialized insight across technologies and sectors or domains such as Healthcare and BFSI
  • Implement Resilience and Security by design into deliverables
  • Serve as a focal point for proactive problem resolution across Cisco technologies
  • Lead strategy and optimization of Cisco services and solutions in alignment with customer goals
  • Develop and deliver technical content and guidance for customer engagements and solution adoption
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for customer solution success and lead collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Create technically sound, clearly articulated customer-facing documentation aligned with CX standards
  • Leverage AI and automation to improve delivery efficiency, innovation, customer outcomes, and personal productivity
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and digital intellectual capital, including documentation templates and automation artifacts
  • Build leadership presence through regular customer engagements and participation in industry events such as Cisco Live and IETF forums
  • Balance multiple projects and train and mentor other engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical consulting, design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience and good knowledge of routing and switching protocols including IGP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISIS, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, VDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, and VXLAN-EVPN
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms, including ISR 1800/1900/2900/3900/4000 Series routers, ASR 1000, Cat 9k/6500/6800/4500, Nexus 9k/7k
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of L2/L3 networking protocols and R&S technologies, including IPv4/IPv6, STP/RSTP, EVPN, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, QoS, and Multicast
  • Knowledge of architectures such as CEN and MPLS
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience on XR-based platforms such as ASR9k and NCS55xx
  • Knowledge of overlay technologies such as MPLS, L2VPN, and L3VPN
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approaches to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment
  • Prior experience conducting customer workshops and high-level and low-level network design experience preferred
  • Experience with ND/NDFC/UCS products preferred
  • AI/ML and network automation skills preferred, including Python, Ansible, GoLang, and Splunk
  • CCIE preferred
