About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the technical health of customers
- Provide mentorship on standard methodologies for Splunk Cloud and Enterprise deployments
- Offer product support and advisory services during customers’ adoption journeys
- Handle critical customer issues
- Develop and orchestrate technical adoption planning (TAP) execution
- Create and drive TAPs aligned with customer goals and broader account strategies
- Act as a point of contact for technical health issues and partner with escalation management for Public Sector customers
- Oversee TAP execution and integration across multiple teams
- Provide technical health planning and recommendations
- Recommend environment upgrades, add-ons, upgrade readiness, new feature awareness, and maintenance windows
- Analyze customer issues, interactions, and product usage to recommend education and additional services
- Engage internal teams for service delivery
- Assess cloud overages and leverage services for workload optimization
- Participate virtually in customer QBRs to review service levels, usage metrics, and environment performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years of experience in technical support, professional services, systems administration/engineering or related experience
- Experience building customer relationships and handling commercial accounts
- Experience with customer issues, account/project management, IT Operations, and technical infrastructure
- Familiarity with Splunk-related products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences from individual contributors to senior leaders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Occasional travel may be required
- Splunk Architect Certification achieved within 6 months of start
- BA/BS technical degree preferred
- Knowledge of software development processes and technical environments preferred
- Solid understanding of Splunk Core Platform preferred
- Active government security clearance, such as Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI, preferred
- Solid understanding of Splunk Core Platform and Splunk Enterprise Security preferred
- Other industry certifications from AWS, Google, and Azure preferred
