About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead customers and partners through their Splunk journey from discovery through implementation of sophisticated solutions
- Lead and manage medium- to high-complexity customer projects from kickoff through successful delivery and closeout
- Build and maintain project plans, including project P&L, tasks, milestone dates, and resource allocation aligned to statements of work
- Implement and maintain project reporting covering burn rate, progress, risks, dependencies, and assumptions
- Assess customer-specific security and onboarding requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, badging, and network access
- Identify and promote opportunities for Splunk products and services to meet additional customer requirements
- Maintain regular cadence with sales teams regarding upcoming opportunities and Professional Services requirements
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering to ensure timely Professional Services engagement and influence technical details
- Use methodologies, blueprints, templates, service offerings, and related solution experience to build customer confidence
- Understand high-level solution options and leverage subject-matter experts to define outcomes and set expectations
- Drive the RFP/SOW process with sales and Professional Services teams
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and system information for bookings and revenue forecasting
- Actively remediate customer problems and advocate for customers to ensure rapid resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience, or PhD + 3 years of related experience, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years of project/program management experience delivering enterprise software implementations or professional services to external enterprise customers
- Demonstrated track record managing projects using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and/or Waterfall frameworks
- Project management certifications: PMI and/or CPMAI strongly preferred
- Technical and domain certifications preferred, including foundational Cisco, Splunk, Networking, or Security certifications (e.g., CCST Networking, CCST Security, CCNA, Splunk Core Certified User/Power User)
- Prior experience delivering projects within a dedicated Enterprise Software, Cybersecurity, SIEM, or Cloud SaaS Professional Services organization preferred
- Experience with pre-sales alignment, proposal scoping, and market/customer analysis preferred
