About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and prioritize the VP’s calendar, schedules, and meetings
  • Coordinate the VP’s event speaking engagements with the communications team
  • Plan and organize meetings, agendas, locations, meeting technology, logistics, briefing documents, notes, and action items
  • Prepare travel packs for international trips and large domestic events
  • Act as an authorized proxy for communications and approvals
  • Answer questions, refer routine matters, follow up on completion, and resolve issues within policies
  • Mentor administrative community members on problem solving
  • Identify when executive action is required and provide recommendations
  • Arrange global travel and itineraries, manage Cisco expenses, and coordinate airline benefits
  • Provide analytical support for special projects through research, problem analysis, data compilation, and report preparation
  • Prepare and brief itineraries and accompany the VP at large corporate events
  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years’ experience in an administrative environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting a principal at director level or above
  • Expert knowledge of Windows desktop applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in calendar management, meeting planning, and travel coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to connect with executive/senior staff and clients
  • Experience providing support at the VP level
  • Strong interpersonal skills, independent judgment, utmost integrity, and ability to balance strategic and tactical actions
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Preferred: past work experience in the high-tech industry
  • Preferred: prior Cisco experience
