About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the lead technical expert on Manufacturing use cases, including OT/ICS security, production line uptime, supply chain visibility, quality and safety incident response, and IT/OT convergence
Design and deliver tailored demonstrations, proofs of value, and reference architectures for manufacturing environments
Map Splunk’s platform to SCADA, PLC, MES, and industrial IoT data sources
Drive AI adoption and internal tooling initiatives for order processing, invoicing, sourcing, fraud detection, product ordering, and warehousing
Architect and demonstrate SAP integrations, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP BTP
Connect plant-floor operations with back-office systems
Act as the voice of the Manufacturing vertical to product management
Influence the product roadmap based on customer, safety, and regulatory trends
Leverage Agentic AI, LLMs, and RAG for predictive maintenance and supply chain resilience
Partner with account teams, industry sales leaders, customers, core Solutions Engineering, go-to-market leadership, and product teams
Translate manufacturing-specific operational and security requirements into differentiated technical solutions and win strategies
Report into the Industry Solutions Engineering organization as a high-visibility individual contributor

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role
Significant experience supporting manufacturing or industrial customers
Experience with OT/ICS environments, including SCADA, PLCs, and MES
Knowledge of IT/OT convergence security and monitoring challenges
Experience with security operations, including SIEM/SOAR, observability, or industrial monitoring platforms
Foundation in data modeling and pipelines
Experience integrating enterprise systems, specifically SAP ecosystems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP BTP
Preferred: experience inside a manufacturing company, industrial OEM, or OT security vendor
Preferred: familiarity with supply chain risk, product lifecycle, and industrial safety practices
Preferred: presentation and whiteboarding skills for technical and executive audiences
Preferred: relevant certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, Splunk Core Certified Power User, or Splunk Core Certified Architect
Preferred: familiarity with IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82
Preferred: experience with OT asset discovery and network monitoring tools
Preferred: Industrial IoT technologies
Preferred: experience using Agentic AI, LLMs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Preferred: Forward Deployed Engineering and change management experience
