Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a large sales engineering team supporting Amazon
  • Define and execute the long-term technical strategy for the account
  • Integrate Cisco’s portfolio into the customer’s hyperscale infrastructure
  • Mentor and develop a multi-layered organization of leaders and teams
  • Ensure managers are equipped to coach their teams effectively
  • Champion empathy, agility and innovation across a geographically dispersed organization
  • Maintain high engagement, psychological safety and collaboration
  • Act as technical advisor to customer VP/CxO-level stakeholders
  • Translate complex business challenges into Cisco-led technical outcomes
  • Develop and execute technical strategies addressing customers’ complex challenges
  • Build executive relationships with customers, partners and internal teams
  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams and resources to drive market success of Cisco’s portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of Sales/Solutions Engineering experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Sales/Solutions Engineering
  • At least 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Experience managing leaders
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud and AI networking technology and its industry
  • Proven experience designing and deploying networking architectures for hyperscale environments
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with massive-scale data center interconnect (DCI)
  • Experience with AI/ML cluster networking
  • Knowledge of the entire networking device stack, including ASIC, platform, NOS and optics
  • Experience driving NPIs (New Product Introduction)
  • Experience designing enterprise/campus networks
  • Experience with switching, wireless, WAN products/technologies, security and observability products
  • Demonstrated success growing and scaling high-impact technical teams
  • Experience building and driving large, high-impact, geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience developing senior management relationships with partners, customers and internal business groups
  • Experience providing thought leadership based on short- and long-term business and industry drivers
  • Deep understanding of competitive products and ability to articulate Cisco solution trade-offs and advantages
