Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver revenue targets and achieve company revenue goals quarter over quarter and year over year
  • Forecast quarterly and annual revenue numbers for the assigned region
  • Direct sales activities within the assigned area
  • Set expectations, provide mentorship, prioritize efforts, and hold the team accountable
  • Build pipeline and execute each phase of the sales cycle
  • Coach sales team members to uncover customer needs and develop champions
  • Present use cases and demonstrate the differentiated value of Splunk products and services
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and terms by selling value and return on investment
  • Build and improve sales territories
  • Build and lead high-performing sales teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of direct and channel enterprise software selling experience to large enterprises
  • Subscription, SaaS, or Cloud software experience working with enterprise accounts
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to build strong business partnerships outside and within the organization
  • Experience with business planning and measuring and communicating progress
  • Ability to identify roadblocks and develop appropriate solutions
  • Ability to adapt in fast-growing and changing environments
  • 5+ years of experience building and leading front-line sales teams preferred
  • Second-line management experience is a plus
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas preferred
  • Software experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, DevOps, security, business applications, and/or analytics preferred
  • Professional verbal and written communication and presentation skills preferred
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of MEDDPICC and Challenger methodologies is a plus
