About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage early and frequently with customers and partners alongside the Renewals Manager
- Help solve technology challenges and address competitive risks
- Evaluate multiple solutions to meet customer needs and enhance product experience
- Build relationships with customers and channel partner teams to understand business priorities and objectives
- Apply technical expertise across related products and services within a defined architecture to support renewal execution
- Support mid-market or regional accounts with moderate complexity
- Participate in customer discussions and tailor renewal messaging to business priorities
- Highlight Cisco differentiators using pre-developed materials adapted to customer context
- Identify adoption, competitive, and technical risks and contribute to resolution planning
- Prepare renewal quotes and collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing and terms
- Support moderately complex renewal components by aligning known solutions to customer needs
- Suggest renewal options based on product knowledge and senior-team input
- Participate in scalable renewal motions using shared tools and processes
- Identify repetitive tasks and suggest automation or simplification opportunities
- Use software tools, automation platforms, and AI-enabled systems to streamline workflows
- Share product-specific insights, renewal learnings, and process improvements with peers
- Surface customer-feedback gaps and suggest improvements to renewal outcomes
- Collaborate with account teams, customer success, and operations
- Own assigned renewal opportunities, coordinate stakeholders, and adapt plans based on feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience managing high-volume, transactional opportunities while supporting consultative renewal strategies
- Understanding of renewal processes, procedures, systems, and renewals lifecycle concepts
- Experience developing value propositions across different go-to-market channels
- Knowledge of software subscription, licensing, and support-service contracting models
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and issues simultaneously
- Experience in a sales environment involving direct customer engagement and channel sales collaboration
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners
- Program management experience driving innovation, process improvements, and scalable solutions
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative renewals team
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM/CPQ and renewals or recurring-revenue platforms such as Gainsight or similar Customer Success Management solutions
- Understanding of SaaS and/or enterprise sales models, customer lifecycle metrics, recurring revenue streams, and retention and growth drivers
- Adaptability within evolving processes and ability to follow procedures while recommending improvements
