About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, monitor, and report on security services engagements for key Cisco customers
- Interact with customer technical and management personnel
- Deliver security solutions independently and by leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Design, document, validate, pilot, deploy, and automate Cisco Security Solutions
- Provide continuous support services to help customers realize value from deployed solutions
- Provide deep technical expertise on Cisco security technologies and communicate architectural context
- Evaluate and present alternative designs to influence outcomes
- Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and help customers recover from technical and security issues
- Participate in worldwide collaboration within the security practice and across Cisco groups
- Support creation and adherence to standards, templates, methodologies, best practices, and delivery frameworks
- Build trusted advisor relationships with customers and identify future engagement opportunities
- Assist with customer proposals and statements of work by providing scope and effort information
- Prepare and execute project workshops
- Deliver training sessions enabling customers to realize the value of Cisco Security Solutions
- Develop subject matter expertise across cybersecurity and non-security domains
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT consulting, and systems integration with large enterprise entities
- Deep technical experience as a subject matter expert in Cisco Secure Firewall / ASA security technologies
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise firewall deployments in cloud and on-premises environments
- Deep technical experience as a subject matter expert in VPN technologies
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise VPN deployments on-premises and in the cloud
- Experience with Cisco AnyConnect and Secure Client products
- Technical experience with Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Secure Access, and other SASE solutions
- Solid technical knowledge in Cisco ISE and TrustSec; hands-on experience preferred
- Knowledge of Cloud Security, Network Visibility, and Zero Trust Segmentation solutions
- Ability to deliver automation artifacts using common automation frameworks, programming languages, Generative AI systems, and Cisco APIs
- Experience preparing, planning, designing, implementing, optimizing, automating, and operating network security solutions
- Strong understanding of secure design principles
- Detailed understanding of TCP/IP protocols
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor of Science, or equivalent
- CCNP Security
- Preferred: expertise in Cisco SNA, Secure Workload, Secure Endpoint, DUO, and Cisco XDR
- Preferred: experience with routing and switching, infrastructure applications, voice, content networking, wireless, Software Defined Access, and Software Defined WAN
- Desired certifications include DevNet Associate, CCIE Security, CISSP, SANS GIAC, and NSA IAM
