About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Test features in the Splunk Cloud offering
- Develop and update documentation for configuration and infrastructure changes
- Execute configuration and infrastructure changes on customer cloud environments
- Lead customer-related incidents while troubleshooting the Splunk Cloud platform
- Develop and update automation tools
- Support the next generation of Splunk’s large-scale cloud offering through operational, maintenance, and documentation work
- Cross-collaborate with multiple teams on the FedRAMP Cloud Ops team
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Person required: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee
- Must be able to perform work on U.S. soil where required by the U.S. government
- Must be able to work 4x10 shifts, Wednesday-Saturday, midnight to 10am EST
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and on-call during the shift
- 3+ years of Linux experience
- 2+ years of scripting experience in Python, Golang, or Bash
- 3+ years of experience working on distributed systems
- 1+ year of experience participating in incident management
- Willing and able to acquire SplunkCloud Architect Certification and either Splunk administration or Splunk Power User certificate within the first 2 years of employment
- Experience with Puppet
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience with AWS or GCP
- Experience scripting with PowerShell
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus
- AWS Solutions Architect certificate and/or experience
