Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program
  • Qualifying education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in C or C++ systems programming
  • Solid understanding of operating systems internals, including kernel space, user space, and memory
  • Solid understanding of networking protocol architectures, including L2/L3 and TCP/IP
  • Practical experience developing in Linux environments
  • Experience using GDB and Valgrind debugging tools
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Preferred: experience with Linux kernel programming, RTOS, embedded device drivers, or packet processing datapaths such as DPDK, XDP, or eBPF
  • Preferred: knowledge of advanced routing protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, Segment Routing, or MPLS
  • Preferred: knowledge of network telemetry and performance measurement architectures
  • Preferred: proficiency in Python or Bash
  • Preferred: experience developing automated regression suites, Jenkins continuous integration pipelines, and performance profiling
  • Preferred: exposure to PCIe, I2C, SPI, FPGA development, or embedded security protocols such as DevSecOps and secure boot
