About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in secure design, software build, and systematic testing of software products
  • Design and build test frameworks and automation utilities
  • Develop, modify, and execute software design plans, automated scripts, and quality assurance programs
  • Contribute to CI/CD, define quality gates, and ensure quality throughout CI/CD
  • Collaborate with product managers and development teams on requirements, test execution, feedback, and problem resolution
  • Analyze and write quality standards and procedures
  • Analyze test results, recommend corrective actions, and assess product-functionality risks
  • Develop tests, automation solutions, and architectural decisions for sophisticated platforms, infrastructure, or products
  • Lead projects end-to-end when needed and drive corrective actions across product portfolios
  • Write clean functional code and unit tests independently
  • Maintain and enhance solutions by fixing complex errors, raising risks, and escalating issues
  • Conduct code reviews, test code, and optimize scale, velocity, and reliability
  • Contribute to feature threat modeling
  • Design QA across environments and conduct risk-based evaluation of non-feature product characteristics
  • Define testing methodologies and propose frameworks for performance, chaos, stability, load, and loss testing
  • Execute test cases and plans for major projects and coordinate timely completion
  • Report issues, testing gaps, root causes, and software solutions to developers, product managers, and other teams
  • Integrate CI/CD methodologies into processes
  • Review test plans and customer-facing documentation
  • Create, interpret, and communicate dashboard metrics and testing insights
  • Mentor junior team members and assist engineers through code reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
  • Build productive relationships with stakeholders across teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, or PhD plus 0 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge and expanded conceptual knowledge in the primary technical job family
  • Proficiency with current technologies
