About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with Account Executives and sales teams to understand customer priorities, identify opportunities, and shape technical strategies
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners across data center networking, compute, and AI infrastructure
Lead technical discovery, solution design, architecture discussions, demonstrations, and presentations
Translate customer business and technical requirements into scalable, differentiated Cisco solutions
Develop end-to-end architectures leveraging Cisco's portfolio and relevant technology ecosystems
Contribute technical insights to account planning, opportunity development, cross-sell, up-sell, and competitive strategies
Stay current on emerging trends across data center networking, compute, and AI infrastructure and translate insights into customer opportunities
Collaborate with portfolio teams, technical specialists, partners, and sales stakeholders to drive customer outcomes
Support customer workshops, partner engagements, enablement sessions, and industry events
Travel as required for customer, partner, and Cisco engagements across India and internationally
Partner with the global Cloud and AI Architecture organization, Account Executives, portfolio sellers, partners, and customers
Focus primarily on India while supporting broader APJC engagements and collaborating with global teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of technical presales, solutions engineering, or relevant hands-on infrastructure experience in data center networking, compute, storage, and integration of compute, storage, and network
Deep knowledge and practical experience with switching and routing protocols and technologies, including Spanning Tree, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, and Network Segmentation
Solid understanding of data center networking design fundamentals across traditional 3-tier architecture, VXLAN EVPN, Software Defined Network, and Data Center Interconnect
Solid understanding of data center network security, including multi-tenancy, N-S/E-W firewall, and microsegmentation design and implementation
Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver engaging demos, Proof-of-Concepts, and workshops to technical and non-technical audiences on infrastructure and modernization topics
Experience with Cisco data center portfolio or comparable competitive platforms preferred
Familiarity with AI-ready infrastructure, including GPU compute, RoCE/InfiniBand, AI/ML reference architectures, and storage for AI workloads preferred
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE Data Center, VMware VCP, CKA/CKAD, or major cloud associate/professional certifications preferred
