About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary technical bridge between Cisco and CDW’s presales organization
Collaborate with Partner Leaders, Account Managers, and CDW Solution Architects
Design and deliver technical enablement programs, hands-on labs, demos, and technical workshops
Accelerate adoption of Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, ThousandEyes, Security/SASE, and AI-ready infrastructure platforms
Lead escalations for high-value, complex opportunities
Conduct joint architectural design sessions and proof-of-value strategies
Partner on territory mapping, demand-generation campaigns, and architectural business plans
Act as a feedback loop advocating for CDW-specific needs to Cisco Business Units and Product Management
Provide consultative technical, professional, and sales support to CDW engineering teams
Leverage AI tools such as Cisco MyAgent, Claude, and OpenAI to scale Cisco’s CDW growth engine

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience working directly with or within Tier-1 National Partners, System Integrators, or Value-Added Resellers (VARs)
Ability to articulate technical value across CDW engineering practices and influence technical practice leads and executives
Practical experience with Cisco Catalyst 9000 series, Catalyst Center (DNA Center), Meraki full-stack, and Cisco Security/SASE solutions
Exceptional communication skills and ability to simplify complex architectures for C-suite discussions
Ability to lead high-stakes technical negotiations
Experience designing and delivering technical workshops, hands-on labs, or enablement programs
Preferred: 2+ years of professional IT experience as a Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant
Foundational knowledge of enterprise networking, including switching, routing, and SD-WAN
Foundational knowledge of cloud or cybersecurity principles
Experience in a team-based sales or engineering environment
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience preferred
Active CCNA or higher-level industry certification preferred
Demonstrated use of AI tools or automation to streamline technical workflows
