About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical information and guidance to customers based on Cisco’s product and services portfolio
  • Partner with Account Managers in a pre-sales technical function
  • Showcase Cisco solutions through customer presentations and technical demonstrations
  • Create bills of materials (BoMs)
  • Run proof-of-concept activities
  • Partner, consult, influence, and design solutions to meet customer outcomes
  • Contribute to account planning to identify growth opportunities and align technical strategies with customer objectives
  • Broaden expertise across Cisco’s cross-architectural solutions and domains
  • Drive innovation and lead solution conversations with technical executives
  • Understand customer business challenges and drive customers toward portfolio solutions
  • Influence customer strategic priorities and lead cross-architecture designs
  • Plan and lead demand-generation and enablement campaigns
  • Examine underlying customer needs and promote cross-architecture solutions
  • Lead demonstrations addressing specific business challenges
  • Use competitive market insights to position and differentiate Cisco solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to refine strategic alignment and strengthen customer relationships
  • Motivate SE and extended sales teams through knowledge sharing and structured educational initiatives
  • Implement adaptation strategies for evolving market conditions and challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of industry-related experience
  • BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or relevant experience
  • Cisco product experience or relevant experience with key competitor offerings in the technology area of emphasis is required
  • Strong Enterprise Networking background
  • Data Center and Security experience
  • Knowledge of Cisco solutions and networking fundamentals preferred
  • Customer intimacy skills preferred
  • Pre-sales experience preferred
  • CCNP Enterprise preferred
  • Cloud, Automation and AI experience preferred
  • Candidate required to live in or relocate to Austin, TX; Oklahoma candidates also considered, with Oklahoma City strongly preferred
