About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute and drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts to completion
Serve as development lead on medium-scale projects and support larger efforts
Influence application design and development through subject matter expertise
Manage one or more Applications Development teams and conduct personnel duties including performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions
Provide technical oversight across systems and applications
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions
Lead design, development, and implementation of AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions, including AI assistant tools
Architect and develop end-to-end AI systems using Python and Java
Design and implement intelligent agentic systems with autonomous decision-making capabilities
Develop, fine-tune, and optimize LLMs for production-ready systems
Implement prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems
Own AI model and service deployment pipelines using CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
Design database storage, retrieval, and management strategies using SQL and NoSQL technologies
Establish engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and tooling standards for full-stack AI development
Share knowledge and drive adoption of innovative AI/ML, Agentic AI, cloud, and DevOps solutions
Ensure adherence to ethical AI guidelines, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-8 years in a product development/product management environment
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Expert proficiency in Python for AI/ML development, including Pandas and NumPy
Strong proficiency in Java, including Spring Boot, Microservices, Enterprise Integration Patterns, and RESTful APIs
Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI principles, and AI assistant tools
Hands-on experience with LLMs and fine-tuning methods including LoRA, QLoRA, Adapter/Prefix Tuning, and instruction tuning
Knowledge of model optimization techniques including compression and quantization
Familiarity with DeepSpeed, vLLM, GPTQ, or similar tools
Proficiency in prompt engineering and building robust RAG systems
Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, and distributed training
Strong NLP skills, including NER, Dependency Parsing, Text Classification, and Topic Modeling
Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and major GenAI APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, and AWS Bedrock
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and application integration
Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and configuration management
Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
Understanding of AI compliance, guardrails, Responsible AI practices, and enterprise security standards
Experience delivering with an agile methodology
Experience affecting large culture change
Experience leading infrastructure programs
Experience working with third party service providers
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
