About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team
Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities
Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions, meet goals, and define system enhancements for new products and process improvements
Resolve high-impact problems and projects through evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Build comprehensive knowledge of how business areas, architecture, and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals
Analyze issues and develop innovative solutions
Advise or coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary
Assess risk, drive compliance, apply ethical judgment, and escalate, manage, and report control issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications
Experience managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Programming experience with Python, Java, Angular, or React
Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native architecture
Experience with REST APIs and Kafka
Experience with CI/CD, containerization using Docker/Kubernetes, and observability
Experience with real-time reporting, automated dashboards, and BI tooling
Experience with data migration, schema rationalization, and ETL/ELT pipelines
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
