About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities
  • Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, deploy new products, and improve processes
  • Resolve high-impact problems and projects through evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
  • Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
  • Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
  • Build comprehensive knowledge of how architecture, infrastructure, and business areas integrate to accomplish business goals
  • Analyze issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Advise or coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary
  • Assess risk in business decisions and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and Citi policies
  • Escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
  • Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications
  • Hands-on experience in Web technologies (HTML, CSS, React JS), REST-APIs, Multithreading, and Backend using Java/J2EE technologies
  • Strong fundamentals of OOPS (Object Oriented Programming Standards) Concepts, Data Structures, and Algorithms
  • Strong experience developing and architecting integrated solutions with non-functional requirements like scalability, high availability, and consistency
  • Strong experience with API and Web Services development using REST/SOAP protocols
  • Fundamental database concepts and experience with a relational database (MSSQL, Oracle) or NoSQL platforms
  • Ability and willingness to work across multiple tools, frameworks, and technology stacks
  • Fundamental understanding of and experience with cloud platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of Standard and Enterprise Design Patterns and SOLID principles
  • Good understanding of Containers and Docker deployment
  • Strong knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, Cucumber, Jasmine/Mocha
  • Preferred experience in High-Speed Messaging platforms such as Kafka
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery technologies and tools
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
