About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own performance testing solutions for more than two applications
Engage Development, Architecture, and Business teams to gather requirements and design performance testing approaches
Certify application changes before production deployments
Lead end-to-end impact assessments, testing approach design, planning, execution, application profiling, metrics analysis, reporting, and risk management
Implement and execute performance test frameworks covering load, volume, stress, capacity, and scalability testing
Design standalone component and end-to-end testing approaches for complex payment flows
Profile application performance and identify application and hardware/OS-level bottlenecks
Perform Oracle AWR analysis and provide database performance tuning recommendations
Analyze SQL query performance and optimize database interactions
Validate MongoDB query performance, indexing strategies, and data access patterns under load
Conduct chaos/resiliency testing for Kafka, MQ, applications, MongoDB, and AWS Cloud
Design and execute performance tests for Kafka event-driven architectures
Conduct IBM MQ performance testing, including queue depth, throughput, and latency analysis
Test ECS containerized workloads, including auto-scaling, resource utilization, and service mesh performance
Use AppDynamics, Kibana, and BMC TrueSight to analyze system health and identify bottlenecks
Produce and maintain KPIs and manage service quality and SLA/OLA compliance
Provide tuning recommendations for application servers, database servers, message buses, and web servers
Identify and implement frameworks, strategies, and toolsets to optimize test execution and expand coverage
Drive continuous process improvement and test framework/script optimization
Automate repetitive tasks
Create performance testing artifacts, including strategies, test plans/estimates, optimization reports, and KPI dashboards
Work in an Agile testing methodology environment
Collaborate with the Global NFT team and lead a team alongside the NFT Practice Manager as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

10–12 years of experience in an IT Quality role
In-depth knowledge, understanding, and analytical thought
Comprehensive knowledge of several areas within IT Quality and good understanding of the industry
Strong understanding of testing processes
In-depth understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Solid experience in several phases of systems development, preferably in testing program management
Confidence and ownership in the area of expertise
Load, volume, stress, capacity, and scalability testing design and execution
End-to-end application profiling and bottleneck identification
Performance test strategy, planning, and documentation
SLA definition, measurement, and reporting
Infrastructure tuning for Application Servers, Database Servers, MQ, and Web Servers
AWR analysis for Oracle database performance
SQL performance analysis
MongoDB query analysis
Kafka performance testing, including producer/consumer throughput and lag analysis
IBM MQ performance and throughput testing
ECS/AWS Cloud containerized workload performance testing
Chaos/resiliency testing
C programming for system-level scripting and driver development
Java programming for test framework development and automation
Agile testing methodology
AppDynamics, Kibana/ELK Stack, LoadRunner Enterprise (MF Performance Center), and BMC TrueSight/HP SiteScope
Additional programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, or Ruby are good to have
Knowledge of containerization and microservices architectures is good to have
