About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support planning, directing, and coordinating day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs
  • Apply in-depth understanding of subfunction integration and contribute to objectives of the entire function
  • Assess creation and signoff of program plans, charters, benefits management plans, stakeholder management plans, acceptance plans, and central program issue logs
  • Oversee program plans to ensure they meet business needs
  • Ensure stakeholders are identified, included in scope definition, and understand schedules and milestones
  • Work with the Program Sponsor to align business-case cost-benefit analysis with business objectives
  • Ensure program areas are appropriately staffed and monitor resource commitments
  • Escalate program risks to the Program Director or Program Sponsor
  • Create program risk management plans
  • Work with procurement to create, administer, track, and close program contracts
  • Recommend training and development needs for assigned personnel
  • Evaluate subordinate performance and recommend pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions
  • Direct the supported area through delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management and resource planning
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
  • Assess risk in business decisions, drive compliance, apply ethical judgment, and escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Negotiate skills with external parties.
  • Series 6 licensing/registration
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
  • Basic commercial awareness
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to guide, influence and convince colleagues and occasional external customers
  • In-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the subfunction
  • Ability to assess program plans, charters, benefits management plans, stakeholder management plans, acceptance plans, and issue logs
  • Ability to manage program risks, contracts, staffing, resources, and budgets
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company policies
